Practical Casualty Management Training Day

This course is a one day program. We suggest that all candidates take part on a annual basis; it serves as an excellent refresher and enables organisations to have their skills updated, keeping your first aiders current with new and existing protocols.

Course Content
Dealing with emergency situations
Casualty communication

The initial assessment
Assessing for danger
Response checks
Calling for help
The management of the airway
Checking for breathing

Secondary assessment, dealing with an unconscious casualty
Body checks
Recovery position
Cardiac conditions
Cardio pulmonary resuscitation
The chain of survival
Choking protocols

Dealing with a casualty who has:
Sustained a bleed
Shock
Broken bones, fractures and dislocations

Transportation of casualties
Using materials and people to move casualties effectively and safely

Practical Scenario Training
The final sessions of the day are practical scenarios which have casualty simulation. You will work in a team of 3, learning how to prioritise which casualty needs what treatment - an excellent training medium.

Assessment
All candidates will be assessed through ongoing observation throughout the training day.

This sounds a lot in only 6 hours of training, but all our candidates achieve and succeed, leaving the course with the confidence to deal with any situation.
